8 hour road shutdown caused by downed power lines


The 8 hour shutdown caused by downed power lines has affected many people who passes Durham Freeway.

In an article written by Ron Gallagher on News Observer, a vehicle snagged the cable TV lines that broke the utility pole and caused power lines to fall at around 3:45 a.m.

Northbound was closed from about 4 a.m until before 11 a.m and Southbound was closed until 11:30 a.m.

1,915 customer has no power early morning on Friday according to Duke Energy.
