Check Electrician Schools in North Dakota, ND
As in the majority of the states, you have to be properly licensed before performing any electrical work in the state of North Dakota. If you wish to plan, lay out, supervise, install, make additions, make alterations, or make repairs, in the installation of wiring, apparatus, or equipment for electric light, heat, or power, you shall have to apply to the state Electrical Board for a license.
There are three types of electrical licenses in the state of North Dakota:
North Dakota State Electrical Board (NDSEB)
The licensing procedure is overlooked by the North Dakota State Electrical Board (NDSEB). The board is responsible for the examination of applicants and the issuance of licenses to those with the required qualifications and knowledge in the trade of electricity and electrical codes.
The board examines, via technical and practical examinations, whether an applicant possesses the required knowledge and skill to be versed in the laws of electricity. In that case he is issued a license in the class for which he was examined. As a licensee or permit holder, you will have to report your licensing or renewals to the electrical inspector in the municipality in which you operate (if there is one).
Additionally, the board has jurisdiction over all electrical installations in the state. As a result, the board may authorise electrical inspectors who have the authority to characterize installations hazardous to life and property, as well as order any electric service to be discontinued.
